Childhood Toys and Sandy Boys

Virginia Potter
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Hardboard
Description
The boys are building sandcastles in the waters edge and enjoying a rare and memorable day in their childhood. The beach is on Greer's Ferry Lake in Arkansas and the northern edge of Diamond Bluff is visible on the other side of the lake. Miller's Point is just out of the picture to the left. When I lived my early life out on Pryor Mountain there was no lake, only the Little Red River, the old iron bridge at Miller and the railroad just under the mountain.
