Description
Often in autumn paintings the colors tend to be garish, but in this painting the colors are soft and subtle, easy to live with but still warm and inviting. I've painted, what to me is a perfect autumn day on Cedar Creek. The air is clean and fresh and the colors are warm and welcoming, the day perfect for hiking. The autumn colors are reflected in the water and the rocks add stability to the landscape. Hikers can cross over the creek at this point following the trail to the other side using the stepping stones nature provided. The original has sold.
